Travelling by Road
From London: From the M4 motorway take junction 4b and join the M25 motorway.  Leave the M25 at junction 13, at the 1st roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A30.  Keep in the left hand lane to continue with the A30.  At the Runnymede Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A30 (signposted Basingstoke, Camberley).  At Egham Hill roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A30.  Turn left onto Ridge Mount Road.

Sunningdale has its own British Rail Train Station which is located 3 minutes walk from Sunningdale Golf Club.  Sunningdale train station is on the South West train line from Waterloo to Ascot and Reading.

Facilities
PLEASE:

For your own enjoyment and to be fair to all the players:

  • Dogs or any other animals are NOT allowed.
  • Switch off mobile phones and pagers.
  • Cameras and video cameras are PROHIBITED
  • Wear suitable shoes for walking around course

Also in respect of players:

  • Do not talk or move about while they are playing a shot.
  • Do not speak to them while they are on the course.
  • Do not ask the players for autographs on the golf course.
  • For your own safety walk, don’t run, keep behind the ropes and barriers around the course, use the official crossing points and obey the Marshals – they are trying to make your day as enjoy as possible.
  • Finally please display your admission ticket or badge prominently at all times.

Tented Village:
The Tented Village area is located at the main entrance, offering catering, programmes, draw sheets, and a number of retail outlets.

Grandstands:
Grandstands will be located on the 1st tee, 13th green, 18th green and the driving range. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.

Leaderboards:
The main leaderboard will be located behind the 18th Green Grandstand. Eight other up to date leaderboards will be located around the course.

First Aid:
The First Aid Point is situated within the Tented Village.  In the event of an injury or in an emergency on course, please contact the nearest Official.

On Course Catering:
Village - Public Catering facilities will be provided in the Tented Village open from Tuesday to Sunday. Champagne and Seafood hospitality tent will be open Thursday - Sunday - if interested in booking your place please contact jenna.kinnear@imgworld.com

On-Course - On course catering points will be located on the 14th tee, 10th green and 16th green.

Car Parking:
Is FREE for all spectators. A park and ride service will be in operation from the Public Car Park which will be located at Broomhall Farm. There will be an allocated coach parking area within the Public Parking which will be free of charge. Sign posts will direct traffic to PUBLIC PARKING.

Disabled Spectators:
A golf cart shuttle service is available from the main car parks. Please speak to parking attendants on arrival for further information

Inclement Weather Policy for Spectators:
Signs will appear on the leader boards around the golf course prior to inclement weather moving into the area.  When the WEATHER WARNING sign appears, marshals will be instructed to start clearing grandstands and spectators are advised to take precautions PRIOR to play being suspended.  If the siren sounds, seek shelter immediately.  Avoid open areas, hilltops and high places, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fence.

Information
This years Championship will be decided over 72 holes of stroke play with one round being Played on each of the four days.

The field will comprise 144 players including exempt and successful qualifiers, reducing to the leading 65 players and ties (including amateurs) after 36 holes.
On Thursday and Friday play will be in three balls and in two balls on Saturday and Sunday.

All matches will start from the 1st tee.

In the event of a tie there will be a continuous sudden death play-off.
